If you like ghostly events and a good ghost hunt then the Falstaffs is a must.
In the heart of Stratford Upon Avon you'll find a most haunted location "The Shrieve's House". Now a museum this haunted place dates back to the 16th century and is one of the nations favourite ghost hunting venues. Favoured for its regular haunted happenings and paranormal activity.
The museum depicting the property's sometimes chilling history, was originally inhabited by an archer to King Henry VIII, namely William Shrieve.
In the 16th century it was a tavern whose keeper, William Rogers, is said to have inspired Shakespeare's famous comic character Falstaff. There is documentation suggesting that his family had strong connections with Shakespeare. In the following century it played host to wounded soldiers brought back to the building after the first battle of the English Civil War.
