Join the UK Ghost Nights team as we visit the Haunted Knottingley Town Hall in West Yorkshire. Dating back to the 1880s this unassuming building has many ghostly tales to tell and is a prominent part of the local history.


Haunted Knottingley Town HallKnottingley has an ancient history prior to the town hall being built in 1880. The area was first habited by the Anglo-Saxons and the first recording of the town was in the Doomsday Book of 1066. The location of the building is said to have housed a Medieval Monastery, until the King of England Henry VIII closed them all down in the dissolution of the Monasteries in 1541. The cellars of the current building were used as a temporary morgue in 1943 after a freak accident took the lives of 5 soldiers. Today the Town Hall is a thriving community hub used by all ages . It’s not surprising really that its know as Haunted Knottingley Town Hall

Haunted Knottingley Town HallWith tales of a death on the staircase, ghostly figures in black and a small child that is said to roam. There are reported feelings of unease, unexplained fog, ghostly footsteps and disembodied voices. With multiple apparitions and poltergeist activity will you be able to last the night in this historic building after dark? Join us as we investigate Haunted Knottingley Town Hall with it’s very very dark cellars and conduct a traditional Victorian Séance. This will be 5hrs of the most fun you will ever have being scared!
